Back in Sickville - Giveaway 1

Most commonly heard phrase: "Mommy, Deedo has a booger!"

Second most commonly heard phrase: "Mommy, Deedo has another booger!"

Bring on the Kleenex.

So, since we are feeling miserable (again), I am going to live vicariously through you. Every time we get sick this fall/winter, you have a chance to win one of my favorites. Favorite what? you ask. Just wait and see. And don't go wishing sickness on us.

This time, I am wondering what do you do to keep your family healthy during flu season.

Add your comment for a chance to win my favorite chocolate bar (you can choose from Vigor, Tranquility, or Sexy.) If you have no healthy tips for me, well, go ahead and enter anyway. Don't be shy, this is chocolate we are taking about.

Winner of this AMAZING giveaway (Pioneer Woman's got nothing on me) will be announced sometime Thursday.

I have not found a way to keep sickness away but when it it gets here we, um, watch TV. It makes them happy and keeps them still. But not too long because fresh air is what they needs to get 'em healthy again.

I've been reading the Secret Garden and have been working on my Broad Yorkshire Accent.

Giveaways are so fun, you are just like PW.

Don't take your temperature too much.

Shoot, can you only enter once? Don't go to church from October through February. Sunday school and nursery are flu bug breeding grounds.

I say let your kids eat all kinds of crap off of the floor and other unsanitary places. This will build up their immune systems. :) I also say play outside in the open air.

When Will does get a cold I give him Hyland's Homeopathic C-Plus Cold Tablets and put eucalyptus essential oil drops in the humidifier. That combined with Tiny Noses Saline Drops and California Baby Colds & Flu Aromatherapy Bubble Bath and we can usually kick the cold in a few days!

Hooray, I can comment. :) Not much advice here...we were sick most of last winter. But, when I can catch it at the very beginning, I buy the odor-free garlic gelcaps, and pierce them and squirt that into the kids' mouths. That, with Vit. C, and liquid echinacea every few hours and that seems to stop a cold in its tracks. If it's already settled in time seems to be the only remedy. Hope this is your only giveaway!!! :) You have great taste in chocolate, so I hope I win!
